This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at the Pineapple Bungalow and we love it. It is comfortable and cozy and everything we might need is provided. The location is just great as well - walking distance to groceries, church, coffee shops and shopping.

We stayed here with our 3 kiddos (ages 8, 6, and 2) and it was perfect for an LA getaway. We walked to the beach 3 days (only a 1 block walk!), went to Disney (30 min drive), visited the aquarium in Long Beach, went whale watching, and visited friends and family. Such a fun time!
We grilled out using the rooftop grill one evening for dinner which was really fun. However, the grill needs quite a bit of maintenance and cleaning, so be aware of that. To light it, you might need to use a long fire-place match since the lighter doesn't seem to be working very well.
There was plenty of beach gear stocked up for our small family, however a couple of folding chairs are broken, so be sure to check them before you make the walk to the beach.
The space was great for us for this trip. Be aware that for 5 guests, 1 person will need to sleep in the living room. We had our 6 year old out there, so after bed-time we would just spend time on the rooftop deck or the front patio which was perfect for us.
Main street is just a short walk also and has plenty of restaurants and shops as well.
Clean, tidy, and well maintained, we would recommend this place for small families looking for a relaxing place close to the beach with other fun amenities within a 30-40 minute drive.

We loved our stay at the Pineapple Bungalow! Elena and Kye provide everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. The bungalow was very clean upon arrival and has a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds and bedding. Our family loved relaxing in comfortable surroundings while being close to the beach and downtown. Beautifully decorated and so many nice touches. We would love to come and stay again!

Our stay at the Pineapple Bungalow was wonderful. The home is beautifully appointed and just what we wanted for our small family vacation. The pictures and information represent the rental exactly and the hosts were very accommodating and a tremendous help in the initial scheduling of the property. The home is clean and well-maintained, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, there are multiple sitting areas for conversation and enjoyment. We would definitely return to this property. Thanks Lyle and Elena for a great place to call home for a week!

Everything we needed for a relaxing small beach town getaway

This Bungalow was perfect for my two teenage sons, my husband and I. We all had plenty of room to relax together or in our own space! The rooftop deck with the grill is a great hang out, and even though we were there during a major heat wave, we were comfortable inside the house with all the fans. The kitchen has everything you'll need, and the small room near the back door comes in handy for stashing extra suitcases, etc. The home was very clean and well maintained. Great location: in Seal Beach walk to all the town has to offer AND in SoCal --20 minutes to everything! Elena and Kai were welcoming and attentive during our entire stay. We hope to come back soon!

We looked high and low for the perfect place to stay in Seal Beach, CA as it is our favorite place to go to relax and play at the same time. After finding this Cottage thru VRBO we knew we found the right place. It was everything that the description said it would be and more. The owners are super friendly and available to answer any questions. A very important note to make, the owners want nothing more than for everything to be perfect for your stay. They went far and beyond to make it perfect for us including snacks in the refrigerator for us to eat after our long flight and before our trip to the grocery store. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much Kai and Elena!!!!

Elena and Kye are very friendly to start! They were available for any questions, so kind and accommodating. The Pineapple cottage has literally everything one needs from a fully stocked kitchen to cook if you so wish, coffee makers, a kettle for tea and plenty of dishes, silverware, wine glasses, coffee mugs etc., for entertaining which we did for my family that live nearby. The beds are cosy, there are loads of linens, towels, beach gear, umbrellas, including boogie boards which was a highlight for us. This two bedroom cottage is filled with plenty of blankets and throws for getting warm, and a lovely fireplace under the large television including a dvd player and an additional tele in the kids room which was perfect for my daughter and my niece age 20 and 22 who stated since they had their own flats would likely not sleep over but ended up not leaving because they were so cosy! There is a front garden in which we sat in every morning for the whole month, and a deck that was also available and private. I lived in Seal Beach as a child, and nothing has changed, it is still as lovely and serene as I remember. The cottage is literally a quaint alley away from the sea and is private, clean, quite with soft sand and a perfect getaway from our busy city in Scotland. Main street with fantastic shops and restaurants is a 5 minute walk from the cottage. We immediately felt at home with everything the cottage has in warmth and privacy. Elena and Kyle have a lovely home and we loved every minute of our stay. Hope to be back soon!

Best location - beach out back, quiet neighborhood, and the pier and Main Street with its shops and restaurants only a delightful walk away. A true bungalow with that cottage feel is inviting and cozy with a floor plan that feels open and airy. Great décor with attention to detail and ample accommodations made this trip back to Seal Beach all we had hoped...a great place to relax and read and chat, as well as go out and have fun in the sea and sand and in town, too. Ambiance and comfort equal special days to remember. Thank you Elena, Kye and Liberty for sharing your darling home with us. What a treat!

We can't say enough about the Pineapple Cottage or our hosts, Elena and Kye. They were very charming and hospitable, very easy to work with. The house has every amenity imaginable, is beautifully decorated, and is located perfectly to the beach and to town. The town of Seal Beach is a great place to visit, great restaurants and shops, all within walking distance of the Pineapple Cottage. We will definitely be back to the Pineapple Cottage again and again and again!!
